trunk & treatREACH the World for Jesus

A Great Success

A huge THANK YOU goes to our 75 Antelope Springs volunteers who donated items and/or worked at this event on October 29.

Our Trunk & Treat outreach touched 800 or more of our neighbors and friends! Trunk & Treat car hosts handed out two giant bins of candy and passed out 1,800 verse cards sharing the gospel with children and their families. The live band "Aerial View" was amazing, entertaining us with song and providing an uplifting atmosphere. Thank you to all of you who helped cook, set up, clean up, provide security, work the games, pass out food, face paint and spray on tattoos, give hay rides, staff the information table, pass out glow sticks, and provide donations. May God bless you for serving during this outreach and allowing Him to use you as we reach the community for His Glory!

"It was encouraging to see so many new faces and visit with new families. Several had questions about the church, our denomination, and programs we offer," said Lovina. "It is my prayer that the verse cards touch the hearts of those that read them, and some who don't attend church will come to our church and into a relationship with our Savior."

Christmas program 2011Children's Christmas Program

Rehearsals Start This Sunday

First rehearsal is this Sunday, November 6, right after the second service, in Room 2. Lunch will be served, we will go over the program, discuss parts, and listen to the songs. Children should attend all rehearsals to be a part of this presentation. This program will take place on Sunday, December 18. Volunteers are needed to provide and serve lunch after second services for rehearsals, help children learn their lines, and work with the costumes. Contact Lovina Kirkpatrick for more information.

Lock-in 2011

Nov. 18-19, 9 p.m.-7 a.m.

It's time for the craziest all-night, no-sleep party of the year -- Lock-in 2011 for middle school (6th to 8th grade)! Come with all your friends as we play crazy games, eat tons of food, listen to live music, watch movies, play video games, and win awesome prizes (including a free trip to Winter Camp 2012). The Lock-in is $10 per person. Buy your ticket ahead of time or at the door. There will be a snack bar where you can purchase snacks, too. Invite all your friends and don't dare miss one of the best events at Wildside!

If you have a video game system with games, controllers, etc. available to loan for the evening, contact Isaac or just bring it along.

Meeting on Sunday

Elders have been working on updating the constitution and bylaws. This Sunday, November 6, following second service anyone interested is welcome to come and hear about the changes and why they're being proposed. The constitution changes will require a congregational vote, which will take place December 11. The last revision to these documents was in 2005, and our church has grown and changed significantly since then. Proposed changes will help guide our church as it continues to grow.

Pick up Invitations
This Sunday

Do you know people who would be blessed by our Thanksgiving Community Dinner? Please take a handful of invitations to distribute. The greeters will be handing them out, and they will be available at the table at the back of the sanctuary. All details for the dinner are coming together nicely.  If you're able to contribute food or supplies, please let us know by printing this linked list or completing a list on Sunday. They will be available at the table in the back of the sanctuary and can be dropped in the basket provided. You may also sign up online at PerfectPotluck

Please prayerfully consider your part in getting the word to those who may need a special blessing such as this. Remember, we can share the love of Jesus in many different ways. Continue to pray for this November 19th outreach.
