God's Plan to Reach the World

Bible

"So if God gave them the same gift as he gave us, who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could oppose God?" When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, "So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life."        -- Acts 11:17-18

Open Invitation to
Trunk & Treat

Our annual fall festival, an alternative to Halloween, is slated for October 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. Kids: Invite your friends and neighbors to enjoy Trunk & Treat, a time of fun, games, and great food. There will be lots to see and do, and you'll be glad you joined in the festivities!

Adults and Young People: Many opportunities are available to serve at this event. Volunteers are needed to host decorated cars or trucks, donate lots of candy and small prizes, donate food items for the barbecue, set up, lead games, serve the barbecue food, and clean up. Please prayerfully consider how you can help make this outreach a success. Visit our information table in the foyer on Sunday. Contact Lovina for more information.

Shooting for Fellowship

You may not be aware that Antelope Springs has a firearms shooting fellowship where men and women can enjoy the outdoors, learn shooting skills, and build solid friendships. Our next On-Sight Shoot will be Saturday, October 22, at Coon Creek Trap Club in Lincoln. We will be shooting sporting clays in groups of four. If you've never gone shooting before but would like to try, or if you're going and you have an extra shotgun available for loan to a new shooter, please see or e-mail Franklin DeLange. To help with coordination, let Franklin know if you plan to attend and are bringing guests. This is an excellent chance to invite friends and neighbors to hang out with our church family. Any youths need to have adult supervision.

The cost for this event is $35 per person, payable in cash only to the range on the shooting day -- so make sure you stop by the bank before you arrive. Bring eye and ear protection, which is required by the facility. Each shooter will also need a total of 100 rounds of ammunition. We will meet at the church at 9:20 a.m. on the 22nd and carpool to Coon Creek. If you would like to hear about future On-Sight events, send us an e-mail.

Build a Strong Marriage

It is God's desire that husbands and wives always be there for each other. Marriage Builders is a new class for couples who would like to grow in their marriage relationship. "Learning how to fall in love and stay in love with your spouse" is our goal. Open to all married couples for the purpose of strengthening the marriage bond, the class is led by Rich and Twyla Farley. First class will be October 9, during the second service, in Room 4. There is a $20 cost per couple for materials. Registration is on Sunday mornings. Click here to see a class flyer.

Serving Together

What better way to build friendships and appreciate our church family's God-given gifts than by working together? Antelope Springs has a big new project coming up -- we'll be hosting a Thanksgiving Community Dinner just two months from now, on November 19th -- and you can help. We will be putting together project teams soon, so start thinking about who you want to know better and what type of service you want to do: collect donations, spread the word, coordinate a resources room, cook, serve as hosts, set up, tear down, pray, shop, clean, prepare the church facilities ... there are plenty of choices. A signup sheet will be coming the second week of October in the church foyer. If you have questions or want to sign up early, please e-mail Lynn Sisler.
