This week:
Radical Obedience:  The Spread of the Gospel

Bible

"But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went. Philip, for example, went to the city of Samaria and told the people there about the Messiah. Crowds listened intently to Philip because they were eager to hear his message and see the miraculous signs he did."

                                                                         -- Acts 8:4-6 NLT

Time for
Wildside & Refuge

Though summer break is almost over, that's good news for middle and high school students who have been waiting for Student Ministries' weeknights to start again. Help your teens and their friends learn lifelong values that come from the timeless truths of God's word. Refuge (for high schoolers) starts next Tuesday, August 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. Middle school's Wildside begins Thursday, August 4, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

To stay informed about activities, teens can sign up in the Student Ministries room to receive text messages. Parents can view monthly newsletters and other resources on Wildside and Refuge parent pages.

Dinner at CrossRoads

Relax and reconnect with friends this Sunday at our evening service as we worship God, study His word, and enjoy Last Sunday of the Month Dinner. Crossroads begins at 6 p.m., and Dave Worth will lead us in looking at Daniel's life to see the applications in our own lives. The dinner theme is Mexican food, so please join us and bring a favorite dish to share.

Prayer Central

Prayer is a powerful way to grow in relationship with the Lord, and we continue to have a special time of group prayer every Monday morning at 6 a.m. in the sanctuary. We hope you will come and help us lift up people in need, ministries of Antelope Springs, our nation, and more. If you are unable to come to the church, please participate from home.

Also, if you want to pray for our pastor, church, and community during Sunday morning services, we need volunteers (a once-a-month commitment) in the prayer room while the pastor is delivering the Lord's message. Contact Rachel Greenhalgh or Laura Crouch with questions.

Share your Time
with Teens

Are you feeling a call to shepherd youths? By getting involved and serving as a mentor, you can help teens grow into joyful, competent, and Godly young adults.

Male leaders are needed for Refuge (Tuesdays with high schoolers) and females are in short supply for Wildside (Thursdays with middle schoolers). Get started as a program leader and then consider becoming a group leader after 4 months. Here's what's involved:

  • Program Leaders go to Wildside or Refuge and hang out. That's simple enough!
  • Large Group Leaders go each week, get to know the students, and have once-a-month one-on-ones.
  • Small Group Leaders go each week, facilitate a small group, mentor the students in your group, and have twice-a-month one-on-ones.

To find out more about Refuge, contact Robby Rodriguez. For Wildside, e-mail Isaac Parra.
