VBS: Helping Children Discover Christ

Why do we host a Vacation Bible School at Antelope Springs? Because it's an amazing way to introduce children to the Lord. Last summer, roughly half of the 150 children who attended weren't from our church, and we saw 28 decisions for Christ. Now is the time to invite friends and neighbors to VBS, coming July 18-22, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Register online -- the cost is only $10 for a week of singing, stories, crafts, snacks, and fun.

Have you considered volunteering? A meeting for volunteers will be held after second service this Sunday, June 26, at the church. To help busy families, dinner for volunteers and their families will be served each evening of VBS at 5:15 p.m. We also have a special work day set for Sunday, July 17, to decorate before the Big Week begins. You can volunteer online or contact Lovina about helping on the 17th

Expect a week filled with God sightings as we all come together to host this year's VBS!

Relax with Church Family at Next Week's BBQ

Next Sunday, July 3, join us for a noontime barbecue where you can visit, make new friends, and enjoy great food. There will be water games and other fun activities for the kids. Hamburgers, hot dogs, water, and lemonade will be provided. Bring a side dish (if your last name begins with A-M) or dessert (N-Z) for the potluck. Also, we would appreciate the loan of pop-up tents, as we will be outdoors.

There will only be one morning service, at 10 a.m. If you plan to bring your chilled potluck dish before service, we suggest you store it in a cooler - unfortunately the church refrigerator won't have space. If you have any questions or can volunteer for cleanup after the event, please let Twyla Farley know.

Planning Ahead:
Volunteers Needed for
Youth Center Construction

Now that our future Youth Center has been approved by the county, we are finalizing the construction plans and anticipating a ground-breaking this fall. To minimize expenses and open the center as soon as possible, everyone's help is needed.

Please prayerfully consider how you can get involved. Work will include not only construction but also cleaning, landscaping, painting, and much more. We will be putting together a list of helpers, so if you're thinking of lending a hand to this God-led project, e-mail the areas where you can help.
