A Word From God:
"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
Ecclesiastes 4:12
A number of years ago Coca-Cola Co adopted a slogan which went like this, 'Things go better with Coke.' It was kind of catchy and certainly got the point across that Coke made everything just a little better. While that slogan was a powerful advertising campaign for Coke the words of Ecclesiastes 4:12 carry a stronger and more meaningful theme that could also be slogan-ized in a similar manner, 'Things go better together.' Such wisdom is found in this very short but powerful verse. We need each other, and when our relationship with others has Christ at the center there is a 'cord' of three strand formed that cannot be broken. The impact of our witness together is huge and the world notices it. This Sunday we begin 40 days of relationship titled, 'UNBROKEN- restoring your broken relationships.' Our entire ministry will be involved the next 40 days with daily devotions, fasting and prayer and the theme is really about our need to have solid relationships with God, believers and others. I encourage each of you to prayerfully consider your involvement in this study. It has the potential to change your life and your relationships with God, friends, family, other Christians and even the world. Study guide booklets will be handed out on Sunday morning.

A Time for Praise
· Praise God for
all the new babies in the church and the parents who are bringing them up in the Word of God.
· Praise God for His working in the marriages of our Church family.
· Praise God for
· Praise God for the growth in small groups and individual's lives.

 A Need for Prayer
· Pray for our God's direction and the necessary measure of faith to wait on Him for each detail of the building of our new Youth Center. Pray that God would personally show you your contribution of time, talents, and money.
· Pray, pray, pray for the people in our church who are struggling with finances, marriage, jobs and health. It is responsibility as a church family to make sure no person goes without the necessities of life.
· Pray for God's impact on our neighbors and community through His call on our lives
· Pray for the 40 Days of relationship, 'UNBROKEN-restoring broken relationships'.

THE NEW YOUTH AND EDUCATION CENTER
Where We Are at this moment: · Placer county had a favorable meeting last Friday and we expect a letter from them this week outlining our next steps. Pending their approval of our request we could begin our build plans as early as the middle of this month. · The Elders are in unanimous agreement on moving ahead with preparations for the build. The building committee has selected a General Contractor (one or our ASC family) and reviewing the cost of the project.

· This Sunday, 13 March the entire ASC family will be involved in 40 days of relationship. Booklets for each person which will be handed out Sunday morning. We hope you will join in this study personally, in a small group, or as a family. The study will conclude with a special Good Friday service celebrating the birth, life and death of our Lord and Savior Jesus.
· CrossRoads evening service every Sunday beginning at 6:00pm. Join us this week for Worship and the study of Philemon.
· We have had two people interested in landscape of the church property. We are putting together a landscape team for those who have this love and skill. Sure could use more interest than that. Call the church office and leave your name. You will be contacted
· Baby dedication and Baptism will be held on this Sunday, March 13. please contact the church office for information.

Adult Ministry
· Adult Bible 101 class meets every Sunday during the second worship hour, 10:45am in room 6. We are in the early stages of the study Experiencing God. The class is open to anyone who has a desire to study and fellowship with us.
· ASC Men's Retreat: Men, if you haven't decided to attend this years men's retreat at Donner Lake on April 8-10 this Sunday is the time to do it! The theme is, "The Face of God". As a group we will be discussing 2 Corinthians 3:18 and how to be transformed into His likeness. Fellowship, study, worship, cushy lodging and 6 meals are included. Registration is $140. Discounts for high school and college students. Scholarships are available - see the man at the registration table on Sunday or contact Chris Masters [dmasters@msn.com]or Dave Worth [smartucus@runbox.com]
· The Elders have begun teaching classes on our mission, Reach, Connect, Grow, each Sunday during both hours. ALL of us are encouraged to attend these classes to get an appetite for what ASC stands for.

· AWANA club meets every Wednesday 6:30pm-8:30pm.
· Easter Fun day is April 23rd, visit our information table located at the front entrance and ask God to show you how you can serve during this outreach to our community. The plastics eggs are coming in now, we coulc use the candy to stuff them. Please put donate items in tub under the information table,Thank you!
· JR Church is in the series "Understanding Prayer" join us during 2nd service! We are looking for another adult helper to assist during JR Church. If you feel God is calling you to serve in JR Church please contact Lovina Kirkpatrick by email at KidZone@surewest.net.

Wildside and Refuge:
- Student Ministry still needs adult help! We need leaders for the Wildside girls and the Refuge guys. There are lots of different places to fit in and help make a lasting difference in a student's life. Contact Isaac Parra isaac@jhwildside.org.
Lighthouse -- College Age Ministry
- Lighthouse college age ministry meets Monday @ 7:00 pm at the church. This group is gaining momentum. Each week new faces are seen. Come out and enjoy good teaching, time of relaxing and getting to know others young adults.
