Stem Cell Research

Stem cells are a hot topic in skin care, and Actives International has news to share!  Our approach is to protect epidermal stem cells, because what could be more important than helping our own stem cells stay healthy?!?

We tested Phytosan K from CLR and found that it protects epidermal stem cells from UVB-induced DNA damage.

Our findings will be presented in a poster titled Agents that Help Protect Epidermal Stem Cells from Photodamage or Induce Differentiation at the upcoming SID meeting in early May.

We will have copies of the poster and an updated Phytosan K presentation at Suppliers' Day.

CLR has continued to study the effects of DayMoist on hair.  Hair moisturized with DayMoist has improved elastic properties. At Suppliers' Day, we will be introducing three new benefits: improved wet comb, better protection of color, and better protection from damage by hot styling products.
