Two lucky people are going to Vegas!
Wine and Cheese was a success thanks to all of those who sponsored, volunteered and attended the event. With almost 400 people in attendance we were able to give away two trips to Las Vegas along with a trip to Mexico. Run Wild at the Columbia River Power Marathon
Let the race begin. Sign up today on www.active.com for the full marathon, half marathon, the 8K walk/run or relay. Sign up for the kids mile through Umatilla Chamber of Commerce, One marathon, two states. The marathon starts at Desert River Inn and crosses the McNary Dam into Washington, circles back over the Columbia River bridge and then runs along the Lewis and Clark Trail. This course was added to the list of prestigious marathons around the world as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
BE A PART OF THE FUN - MEET PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER The race is an attraction for marathon enthusiasts from all over the United States. Showcase your business by putting your promotional material in our participant backpacks. Please provide 400 items (coupons, keychains, etc) for the Hermiston Chamber to stuff in the bags before October 18th.

Columbia River Power Marathon Saturday, October 22nd, 8am - Desert River Inn Join in on the fun by running the full marathon, half marathon, the 8K walk/run, by forming a relay team, or signing up the kids up for the kid's mile hosted by the Umatilla Chamber of Commerce. The relay opens the run up to families, groups, experienced runners or organizations and friends who want the same experience but at a shorter distance in a more team-oriented approach. These scholarships are funded by a request from the estate of longtime Hermiston resident and Rotarian Ralph Brownson.
The scholarships are earmarked for graduates of Hermiston, Umatilla, Echo or Stanfield High Schools who are currently sophomores or juniors in college.

Promote Your Business at the Columbia River Power Marathon

- Provide a coupon or another promotional item to be included in the backpacks given to every participant
- Become a marathon sponsor and have your business listed as such on marketing material, mentioned on the radio and/or print ads and have your banner up at the event
- Man an aid station along the race route. You may be able to join an aid station team from last year
Remember, many of the visitors who register for the Columbia River Power Marathon return year after year. This is a great opportunity for your business to make a lasting impression as a member of the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce.
