BLACK MOUNTAIN NORTH SYMPOSIUM

October 1-3, Rochester, NY

The Black Mountain North Symposium, a three-day conference and festival of the arts in Rochester, NY, will celebrate upstate New York's experimental arts, whose lineage is partly traceable to the migration of artists and scholars from a radically innovative school situated in the hills of North Carolina from 1933 to 1957. Black Mountain had a special influence on Buffalo, as several faculty and students, notably Charles Olson, Robert Creeley and John Wieners made their way to Buffalo to teach be part of the Buffalo poetry community. The Symposium is graciously offering a discount on the conference to members of Just Buffalo LIterary Center. Follow the link below to register or to find out more:
