A Book of Your Own: Poetry and Bookmaking
Work closely with a professional writer from Just Buffalo Literary Center, discovering new and creative ways to turn your ideas and dreams into poems. Specific lessons include: developing your writer's voice, composing a personal statement, exploring your inner personality and poetic sensibility. The camp will end with learning paper folding and bookbinding techniques to make your own handmade artist's book. Don't miss this chance to share your writing talents with family and friends!

Margaret Konkol is a Ph.D. student in the Poetics Program at SUNY Buffalo. She received her M.A. from the University of Virginia and her B.A. from Reed College. Her poems have found homes in Small Press Collective, Rude Girl Press, Buffalo Vortex, Fusion and Love Factory.

Featuring poet CATHERINE BERRY MIKLITSCH. She lives and writes in Lewiston,N.Y., and she is the author of a book of poetry entitled The Habit of Dawn. Catherine's poetry has been published in Buffalo Spree Magazine, Japanophile, Piedmont Literary Review, and various other journals. There will also be ten open reading slots. In addition to writing fiction, Greg Lamberson is an accomplished filmmaker--Slime City, Slime City Massacre, and others--and an authority on low budget horror films, author of Cheap Scares, one of the best books on the subject.
