From the Top

This week, February 16 to be exact, will mark 100 days since I took command here. I want to say that Patti and I absolutely love being part of this world-class community.
From our great Soldiers, families and civilians that we have working here, to the unbelievable relationships we enjoy with our partners in the Chattahoochee Valley Region - Fort Benning is the place to be.
Each day, I get the opportunity to meet with tremendous Soldiers and leaders who are leaning forward in their efforts to train and prepare the Army for the current and future fight.
It is critical we get it right, as we work toward developing future requirements for the individual Soldier and the Maneuver Force.
At the same time, we're doing a great job, and need to continue, in our efforts to provide a world-class quality of life for our Soldiers and Army Families.
If you are headed our way, we are looking forward to you joining the team. If you are coming to Fort Benning for training, I encourage you to bring your motivation; you are going to get the best training in the world here!
One Force, One Fight!

Contrarily, he said being injured has spurred him to do things he never attempted before -- like running a half-marathon. more
