Buy a hammer, build your community.

Buy a hammer, build our community

This summer, not only will you be able to support Habitat Toronto by swinging a hammer, but you can also support by purchasing one too!

From June 3rd to July 5th, Home Depot shoppers can purchase a $2 paper hammer in support of Habitat Toronto. Ten Home Depot stores (listed below) will race to raise the most amount of money with a final goal of $50,000!

But the generosity doesn't stop there... The Home Depot Canada Foundation is stepping up and will match the highest amount raised by a Home Depot store!

Want to contribute? Below is a list of Home Depot stores where you can buy your paper hammer in support of Habitat Toronto:

Caledonia

Gerrard Square

Curity

Leaside

Eglinton East

Rexdale

Ellesmere

Stockyard

Etobicoke

The Moreno Family
It was a good morning when Robyn Moreno tuned into a Habitat for Humanity Toronto dedication ceremony on television. Habitat Toronto homeowners were celebrating the completion of their new homes with staff, volunteers and donors. The families' happiness and pride were in stark contrast to how Robyn was feeling about the home she shared with her husband and their four children.

"Our place was old and falling apart. There were mice and ants everywhere, and because the foundation was shifting, the walls and ceilings were cracked." When it rained, the basement of the house would flood and black mould would sprout on the floor and walls.

Crew Leader Corner
June Crew Leader Corner
Garry Gardiner began volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Toronto three years ago. He has volunteered on the 4200 Kingston Rd, Pilkington, Peddicord, and Hainford build sites. Garry retired from his teaching career 15 years ago and has always been an avid carpenter. He really appreciates the team approach to the build site. The interaction with people is rewarding and he finds that most people are really eager to help and are on board with Habitat Toronto's mission.
