7 Ways to add Sparkle to your Home for the Holidays

Ask the Designer
Q: We are having out-of-town family visit us during the holidays. Any suggestions on how I can make our overnight guests feel more welcomed?

A:
  • Outfit your guest room with a tray of niceties: an alarm clock, novels & magazines.
  • Make your own mini-bar - fill a basket with holiday cookies, nuts or dried fruit, and a carafe of water.
  • Set up the coffee the night before. If your guests get up before you, they can help themselves to coffee.
  • Shop your drugstore's travel aisle for toiletries your guest may have forgotten to pack.
