Not to be missed is a stop to one of the three
Salon de the Ladurée. Founded in 1862 by Ernest Ladurée's wife, Jeanne Souchard. She had the idea of incorporating the Parisian Café and pastry shop, permitting ladies of the day to gather beyond literary salons. The oldest is located on Rue Royale, another, designed by Jacques Garcia, on the Champs Élysées. And, the latest is located in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district on Rue Bonaparte.

They are known for their macaroons, but I love their hot chocolate;
decadent - it is so rich and creamy.
The Metropolitan Métro stop near the
Louvre with its curvilinear Art Nouveau
cast iron railing and light fixtures was
designed by architect Hector Guimard.
