Greetings!

Bonjour!  I have just come back from a wonderful trip to Paris and thought it might be different and enjoyable to share photographs of some of the highlights.  There is always so much to see and do when I go to Paris, but this time I was there primarily to attend the Maison & Objet, a trade show which featured furniture, tabletop, art and outdoor furnishings.  While in Paris I also visited with a dear friend from Lausanne, Switzerland whom I met years ago when we both were Interior Designers at Charlotte Moss & Co.

No trip to Paris is complete without at least one visit to a museum.  This time I went to the Muse Nissim de Camondo

A mansion built at the turn of the 20th century reminiscent of the Petit Trianon at Versailles.  Moise de Camondo bequeathed his mansion and collections upon his death in 1935 to the Union Centrale des Arts Dcoratifs.

Not to be missed is a stop to one of the three Salon de the Ladure.  Founded in 1862 by Ernest Ladure's wife, Jeanne Souchard.  She had the idea of incorporating the Parisian Caf and pastry shop, permitting ladies of the day to gather beyond literary salons.  The oldest is located on Rue Royale, another, designed by Jacques Garcia, on the Champs lyses.  And, the latest is located in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prs district on Rue Bonaparte.

They are known for their macaroons, but I love their hot chocolate;
decadent - it is so rich and creamy.

               At the end of my trip, Liliana and I celebrated with a stop at the Ritz.
