We wanted to share with you an article that appeared in Westchester Cottages & Gardens, that Susan Marocco Interiors was featured in, "China Syndrome". We visited two resources, one which features moderately priced Asian reproductions and the other for the serious collector, unique, Asian antiquities.
A touch of Asian furniture or art transcends any décor and adds an eclectic element to both traditional and modern environments.
Click here to read more about the Tang Dynasty pottery horse or the hand painted reproduction of a Tibetan cabinet which mimics the ancient enamel techniques of cloisonné.

How do I know what size dining room table will fit in my dining room so my guests are the most comfortable?
First measure the room to ensure that you will have 36 inches of clearance from all sides of the end of the table to the walls or another piece of furniture. This will allow your guest easy access to the table, enable you to serve or allows them to self serve buffet style. Dining Room tables should ideally be 30 inches high.
Next, consider Shape.
Square tables are interesting, but become massive feeling if over 54 inches wide.
Round tables create intimate dining allowing for easy conversation with all the guests.
Rectangular tables are most commonly used. You can mix seating combination of side chairs, arm chairs and benches.
Square table
How many can you comfortably seat?

For a rectangular table, if you are using 20 inch chairs, a 6 foot
table will seat six people. A 7 foot table seats eight people and an 8
foot table will comfortably seat 10 people.
Rectangular table

A 60 inch round table will seat 6 to 8 people, a 72 inch round 8 to 10 people.
A 54 inch square table seats 8 people.
