Dear
What a wonderful few months it has been in Haiti for Village de Nouvelle Vie (New Life Village)! In May, a team comprised of Marty Trepus, Don Smith, John Cross and Kevin Trepus joined Emily Hendershot in Haiti. The goal of the trip was to finish a well house with a solar pump and drip irrigation system. This was a vital step toward the objective of a self-sustaining family garden for New Life Village families. After a variety of setbacks, Marty, Don and Kevin returned to Haiti in June to complete the project with the villagers.

Kevin, Don, Juckson, Marty, Wisly flipped the switch to start the solar pump! Success! The solar driven pump filled the 700 gallon tank in 1 1/2 hours!!!

We appreciate Clear Blue Global Water Project's involvement with New Life Village. They have played a huge role in the continued growth of this community.

THANKS CLEAR BLUE!!
UNOPS/ECHO HOMES
One of the most exciting happenings in the village is the construction of new homes! Thanks to our partnership with UNOPS (United Nations Operations) they graciously donated 28 homes to Village de Nouvelle Vie. The construction was very quick as five homes were built each day!
The people have been so excited and proud of these new plywood homes after over a year of living in tarp shelters. These beautifully painted homes with two stories of space, have been a symbol of hope within the village. The people have taken pride in their homes in ways we couldn't have imagined. It has been a uplifting transition for them and we feel honored to have been a part of it.

After months of waiting on another organization, the construction finally begins!!

Juckson making a meal of rice for his family. This happened to be on a Sunday when we were visiting. There have been minimal times were we have actually observed people eating. The average Haiti is lucky to eat every other day.

Beyond our work in the village, we have built some great relationships with other organizations and individuals also working in Haiti. This has been a huge blessing to us. One opportunity we had was to deliver Spanish Bibles to our friends at Parengcoy (the Paraguayan Engineering Company of the United Nations Military). There are 130 men on base without easy access to Spanish Bibles. There is a Catholic Church and Evangelical Church on the base and we were able to present both churches with Bibles to spread the good news. It was a great feeling to be able to give them a small token after ALL they have done to help us.

Haiti is always an adventure and there is so much more we would like to share! Stay tuned for more photos and updates from the village. A lot of progress is taking place! YOU have played a vital role in all the ways life is improving for these families.
YOU have been on the front lines with us and we are so grateful to the Lord for your contributions and prayers!
THANK YOU!
