Dear ,
The Journey Retreat
From September 19-22, NET (Nación en Transformación) hosted the attendance of 30 pastors and leaders at a second "Journey" retreat. The Journey, in response to an overflowing experience of God's grace, will train and encourage participants in the implementation of a spirituality-based leadership development process to mentor disciples who can reach the next generations. Our dear friend and mentor, Alan Fadling, came from California to facilitate this second Journey retreat.

One example of the outcome of the retreat can be found on Alan's blog, here is an excerpt..."Another participant serves as a psychologist in the legal system where he deals with issues of abuse, delinquency and other youth-related matter. It is a very stressful role. After the May retreat, he determined that he was going to continue the practice of a day away a month alone with God, but when his supervisor heard about his plan, she was very concerned about his taking this time away. He took initiative and invited her to join him in a trip up to the conference center where we hold the DR Journey, as well as a nearby monastery. She was so struck by her own experience of solitude and silence that she told him to keep coming to these retreats. She was able to tell the difference it made in his work. And he shared that she would not describe herself in any way as a person of faith. Amazing." You can read more here.
We thank the Lord for His renewing presence in our lives and in the lives of these Pastors. We are excited about the impact of what these pastors are implementing within their spheres of influence. We look forward to the third retreat that will take place in January 2012.
Samuel's Presentation for NET Please be in prayer for Samuel as he is traveling in Washington, Oregon and California for NET. He has a number of speaking engagements. Please pray for him as he shares what God is doing in the Dominican Republic through NET. Haiti Assessment Trip Update
After doing a quick assessment trip at the beginning of this month, I wanted to update you on our progress. I was very greatful to have Pastor Victoria along as a companion and prayer warrior on this trip. See a few pictures below!

I am currently in Haiti with Emily Hendershot (from my home church) and Pedro Omar (Victoria's son). We would like to ask for your prayer as we continue His work here.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
- For the salvation of those in the village.
- Pray for Pastor Louis Pierre Elissaint as he leads the village and brings vital spiritual and practical leadership to the villagers. Please also be in prayer as he may have a life threatening illness. We can see that his leadership is so important to the overall environment created at the village.
- For our team, whose on-site presence is vital to the building of the better temporary shetlers through ACTED, the commerical water filtration system through Water Missions International, connecting with micro-enterprise organizations, meeting with the Paraguayan UN, etc.
- That we would find a local individual to partner with us for on-site support.
- That God would hear the people's prayers and meet the hunger needs in the village.
