Luna Update - May 2, 2011

It is with great joy that I report to you today that we have 14 new families moving into the "village" in Haiti!  

With the help of IOM (International Organization for Migration) staff, we visited and interviewed many families at a variety of camps who are in need of moving from their current tent structures.  At this time, we have decided on 14 families to move-in now. They are so excited about this relocation that we are hiring a truck to help them make this move today! 
  
Please be in prayer that this transition will go smoothly for us as well as the families.  Pray that God will work in their hearts as they uproot what they have know with the expectation of a better life.  Pray that their enthusiasm for this new home will continue as they will have many adjustments to make. Pray that Emily Hendershot and I will have wisdom and  direction as we encourage new leadership development in the "village".   The "village" will have a new name that the new residents will select in the near future.
  
Thanks so much for your constant interest and prayer support of our efforts here in Haiti as we try to help families relocate into better living situations.  I will send more details when I have a few minutes combined with reliable electricity.
