Friends and Supporters,
My vision for Los Angeles is simple, my knowledge of the details is specific, and my need for your help is urgent.
The city I love is struggling and here's how I want to fix it.
PLAN for enduring growth. BALANCE the budget so we can pay for the plan. CONNECT agencies and departments so they work together to eliminate overlaps. SET STANDARDS so government delivers what it promises - not nearly react to complaints. CELEBRATE the arts, culture and entertainment for jobs, the economy and tourism. The Daily News says "Los Angeles needs some fresh leadership. That's why we strongly encourage voters to pick Stephen Box for CD4"
The LA Times contrasts my immersion in the "minutiae of city government" against LaBonge's "thin" record as a "pothole" politician and O'Grady's proposals as "more symbolic than meaningful."
Now is your chance to invest in the opportunity to unseat an incumbent with a proven track record for increasing costs while cutting services.
LaBonge voted to protect the CRA's funds, he voted to support the DWP's rate increases, he voted to give the DWP a monopoly on solar energy and he voted to cut the budgets of libraries, parks, and the Department of Disabilities.
We can't afford four more years of Tom LaBonge.
The election is only six days away and the campaign to unseat the incumbent is growing in momentum.
Now, more than ever, I need your help in reaching voters.

For $500 I can reach 1000 more voters by mail. For $250 I can place one more ad in a local newspaper.
For $100 I can print more flyers to pass out as I talk to voters.
Thank you for Partnering in Greatness!

6 DAYS LEFT IN THE
HISTORIC RACE FOR CD4!
|
We are approaching an epic turning point in Los Angeles political history. For eight long decades the entrenched brokers of political power have held tight control of Council District 4. That is about to change. This time the fortress of power will not be a battalion of attorneys, developers, and consultants. The force that is shaking City Hall consists of a loyal fleet of neighborhood council activists, renters, food truck vendors, cyclists, and next-door neighbors. The time has come to end the complaint driven government that dispenses city services as if they are personal favors. The time has come for a city administration that operates according to standards that we can ALL depend on. >>> continue reading |
TOUR de BOX - SUNDAY MARCH 6
|
Now, more than ever, is the time to get involved!
There are teams of fantastic volunteers working the phones and calling voters. There are other teams walking precincts and talking with voters. There are groups that speak with neighbors at the local farmers markets and some have even set up bike tune-up stands to engage local cyclists.
We are out in the field everyday, speaking to neighbors and talking about the issues and it is exciting! Especially because we keep encountering so many passionate people who are ready to turn this city around!
