Friends and Supporters,

In just two weeks, the people of Los Angeles will have the opportunity to vote on the future of Council District 4.

I'm up against two worthy opponents...

Apathy and Indifference!

Council District 4 hasn't had an open seat since the early 1920's. It has always been the appointed, the annointed, the heir apparent or the incumbent.

There are 143 precincts in Council District 4 and they're all approximately the same size. In the last election, the incumbent won a precinct with only 20 votes. On the average, 63 votes carried the precinct and the status quo was safe for another four years.

That's why this is a defining moment for the City of LA, for your neighborhood, and for you.

We are at a fork in the road, one where we can revel in the endorsements and matching funds and momentum or one where we double down and commit to winning.

This is the defining moment for the Box for City Council campaign. We will forever be able to look at this moment in the campaign and say either "That was the day when we tried real hard" or "That was the day when we won the race!"

If you've contributed to the campaign, thank you. If you haven't, your contribution will be matched and the money will go a long way to reaching voters.

Stephen BoxIn addition to your financial support, I also need help walking precincts, calling voters, working in the office and hosting gatherings of friends and neighbors. Most of all, I need you to reach out to five of your friends and put them in motion.

In simple terms, we've come this far and I need your help in order to finish strong.

I thank you for your support!.

PEOPLE POWER IS POISED TO MAKE HISTORY!

Nearly all contributions to the campaign have come from individuals or small businesses; neighborhood and community stakeholders in a better Los Angeles and not glad-handing insiders with a business-as-usual vested interest.

Every potential voter we will reach between now and March 8th will require our supporters to double down.

We have this incredible opportunity to bring our own voices to City Hall. Please take the time, right now, to contribute whatever else you can.

Can you give another $100 to the campaign to get us to the finish line and help us get one more mailing out with Stephen's message?

Make a true commitment to victory NOW! NOW is the time. Please contribute immediately, it will make all the difference!

GET OUT THE VOTE!

Box4CC Volunteers have filled our headquarters, reached out to voters at a weekend bike tune-up, canvassed farmers markets, and Twitter and Facebook exploded with support messages, postings, and tweets.

The excitement is just beginning. We need votes. We get votes by reaching out to voters. With two weeks to go, we need your commitment of time to complete a list of calls, or walk a precinct with neighbors.

Precinct Walks, Rides, and Phone Banks are daily from 12p-9p, Weekends 10am-6pm. Call Claudia Vazquez at (281) 687-4085 or

claudievazquez@gmail.com to schedule your shift.
