Office 2010 Hits RTM Milestone
| | While many accountants were concerned with other events on April 15, Takeshi Numoto, a Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, announced that Office 2010, SharePoint 2010, Visio 2010, and Project 2010 reached the release-to-manufacture (RTM) milestone. RTM is the final pre-release engineering milestone of an application and means that an application is now in the production phase. You can expect to see this release sometime around June 15th.

New PivotTable Options in Excel 2010

Significant
additions to Excel 2010 include the ability to change how percentage
calculations display in PivotTables. More specifically, among other new options
users now have the options of showing data as a percentage of the parent row
total, percentage of the parent column total, and percentage of parent total. |

Why is the feature so cool?
Home page cues extend the functionality of the To Do section. Now, in addition to showing reminders to tell a user when they need to act, you can make the reminder visual by displaying it as a cue. The number of items in the reminder will determine how tall the cue is. The display as cue checkbox is available for any reminder that is based on number of records.
