Is There Someting Missing From Your Life?

The Great Colorado Payback

The Colorado Office of State Treasurer maintains a database of over 500,000 individuals and businesses who have lost, forgotten or misplaced financial property.   This property could include final paychecks, utility deposits, dormant bank accounts or lost stock certificates.

With a population of around 5 million, that means one of every ten Coloradoans might have property on deposit in Denver at the Treasurer's Office.  In an effort to reunite people and their property, the Treasurer maintains a searchable database on the internet at  http://www.colorado.gov/treasury/gcp/

Individuals and businesses can search the database by name to see if any property is available to be claimed.  The site also describes the claims process, as well as the forms that need to be filed to initiate a claim.

We strongly encourage all of our clients and friends to check this database for missing property.  Money doesn't grow on trees, but it might be hidden under a rock!

Good luck and happy hunting!

Kind Regards,
