You may also choose to make a vow to help those unfortunate canines who are abandoned and left without loving homes each year. You could volunteer at a local shelter, make a donation to help defray the increased expenses currently facing shelters in our troubled economy, or decide to bring a new shelter pet into your home to love.  Those struggling from financial woes are surrendering pets of all types and sizes these days - including pure bred dogs that would cost hundreds - so there are plenty of loving pets available for you to choose from as you strive to meet your family's needs.
