Thanks to all of you who voted online to make Stella one of the 50 finalists in the 2010 Greater Birmingham Humane Society Calendar. Her photo is now on display at Brookwood Village Shopping Center and will be through this Thursday, May 30th, along with those of the other finalists. The votes submitted in person at Brookwood Village will determine the 13 photos that will adorn the cover, and each month's page in the calendar. You can help make sure Stella and any of your other favorites are included in the calendar by visiting Brookwood Village and donating $1 per vote. Brookwood is open from 10am to 9pm each day through the end of the contest.
Remember, even if Stella doesn't make the calendar, your donation will be invaluable to the GBHS. In fact, we feel so strongly about the work that they do, that if you cannot make it to Brookwood Mall, Generation Dog will take your donation on behalf of GBHS and cast votes for you. You may vote for Stella, or any of the other members of the Generation Dog extended family who made the finals (see photos at left), in person, over the phone or online using our secure web site. We MUST receive any donations no later than 6pm on Thursday, May 30th in order to cast votes on your behalf.
All proceeds from the voting, including 100% of those routed through Generation Dog, will help the GBHS continue their programs to help the most abused and neglected pets in our community - including other puppy mill rescues like Stella who have not been fortunate enough to find a loving home yet.
Thanks for supporting the GBHS and their wonderful initiatives!
