For those who may not be aware, Bark for a Park is a local non-profit organization dedicated to establishing Dog Parks in the Birmingham/Hoover Metro Area.  As a result of their diligent efforts to date, the City of Birmingham has earmarked land adjacent to George Ward Park in the Glen Iris Community as the first dog park site.  Fundraising is currently under way to raise funds for the fencing, signage and other necessary purchases required to make this a secure site for our pups to run and play.

In addition to fundraising efforts, the Bark for a Park team is already looking forward to establishing sites in other areas - including Homewood.  As such, they have created a brief survey to identify areas with the most grass-roots support and solicit feedback from residents that will prove to be useful in gaining the attention of local municipalities.

As a dog lover and member of the Generation Dog extended family, I hope you will choose to join us in supporting this effort by taking a few minutes to complete their survey.  You may visit www.barkforapark.org to take the survey, make a donation, and read more about how you can help with this exciting initiative.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of this project that will improve the lives of many furry friends in our community!  We look forward to seeing you and your pups soon at Generation Dog:  Where Dogs Are Family.

Sincerely,
