Dear (Contact First Name),
Generation Dog's resident Princess - "Lady Stella DuBois" - is one of the potential calendar dogs whose photo is under consideration for the 2010 Greater Birmingham Humane Society Calendar. As many of you know, Stella spent the first 3 years of her life as a breeding dog in an Alabama Puppy Mill so her transition to pampered pooch couldn't be more well-deserved. Over the last year, it has been amazing to watch Stella come out of her shell. She went from being very scared and distrusting of others to being playful and friendly and accustomed to a life outside the cage. She still bears the physical scars of her puppy mill days in her feet that are deformed from years of walking on a metal grate, but otherwise, she is healthy, happy and enjoying the experience of being loved for the first time in her life. Please help make sure Stella makes the cut to become a calendar girl by casting your vote online at the GBHS Photo Contest Web site.
Online voting runs through May 17th and the photos with the highest number of online votes will be on display at Brookwood Village Shopping Mall from May 24 through May 30, 2009. The votes submitted at Brookwood Village will determine the cover and monthly pet pictures. (Since Stella is wearing a Valentine's Hearts Party Collar, I think she would be perfect for February, which happens to be the month of her birthday!) You can vote as many times as you want - for as many dogs as you want. The pictures to the left are other members of the Generation Dog Family who are also worthy candidates for your votes. Vote now and vote often - and send this on to all your animal loving friends so they can vote too. All proceeds from the sale of the completed calendar will benefit the GBHS - and you know I'll sell more if my baby is in it!
Thanks for supporting a great cause - and a great dog!
