Changes to Rub-a-Dub-Dog Services and Policies

Effective immediately, we will no longer have "Do-it-Yourself" Bathing available. We will strive to bring it back in the future as our available space changes.

Each groomer will have a separate work area and dogs will not be together unattended. Nevertheless, since we may have two unfamiliar dogs here at the same time, we want to emphasize the importance of making sure you keep your dog up to date on vaccinations, and that they are on both flea and heartworm prevention medication. We will begin requiring vaccination records for all customers effective immediately. Existing customers can have their veterinarian fax a copy of this information to us at 205-870-8085, or bring a copy to your dog's next appointment.
- Two dogs in the same family are still welcome to come together but we will need to schedule them simultaneously with two different groomers. The other option is that you can bring them one at a time if you prefer a particular groomer. We will no longer offer multi-dog discounts for those bringing 3 or more dogs at one time due to the coordination involved with multiples.
- Even though the dogs will be separated, for those dogs that are aggressive or highly agitated with other dogs around, it may present a problem. Please notify us if this could be an issue with your dog and we will strive to accommodate your needs.
- To make our increased capacity work, it is essential that you drop off and pick up your dogs in a timely fashion. As of March 1st, we will begin enforcing the late pick up fees for those who are more than 15 minutes late picking up their dogs. This fee is $5 for every minute over the 15 minute grace period.
- We will continue to do whatever we can to help remind you of your dog's grooming appointment. This includes offering to send a reminder card out via mail, and phoning you a day or two before to confirm. In exchange, we ask that you abide by our 24 cancellation policy. Due to costs involved with increased personnel and capacity, we have instituted a slight price increase effective immediately. Even with the increase, we are confident that our prices are still comparable to other groomers in our area, especially when you consider our unique approach that puts your dog's comfort first.
