Our Recommended Posture Tools! Correct posture while sleeping is essential to a healthy spine. The
neck should be neutral to the spine and a
pillow should be placed between the legs while side sleeping. While
back sleeping the neck should be supported by a cervical roll and a
pillow should be placed under the knees. Cervical Pillow $49.95 Leg Spacer Pillow $32.
Sitting at a desk all day for work can be damaging to the spine. This
vestibular disc forces you sit up straight while keeping movement in the
pelvis, hips and low back. It is light and portable and can be used
with any desk chair.
Vestibular Disc $30. Receive 20% off on all Posture Tools this month!

Healthy Nutrition Tip-of-the-Month!
from our Clinical Nutritionist Michelle
Long
work days and busy schedules can leave limited time for healthy eating.
Smart snacking provides sustained energy and will keep you satisfied, which
will keep your metabolism going and can eliminate overeating for a slimmer
waist-line. The goal is to maximize nutrients and eat a healthy balance of protein, fats and
carbohydrates.
Here are our favorite healthy snacking ideas: - Apple or banana with peanut butter or almond butter - Baked tortilla chips with black bean dip and avocado - Flaxseed crisps and hummus - Brown rice crackers with goat cheese and olives - Yogurt topped with berries and slivered almonds
- Make your own healthy Trail Mix using dried pomegranate seeds, dried cherries and raw walnuts.
Experiment to mix it up and remember to have FUN!

Patient Success Story
"Dr. Heidi is just an amazing caring person who has infinite knowledge of
health, nutrition, and body mechanics. I've been seeing her for over a
year and have referred many friends to her clinic, all of whom are now
feeling better. She is ultra sweet, her adjustments are very specific
and gentle, and she only wants to see you when you need care instead of
the usual 3x week routine you get from most chiropractors. Fantastic
Chiropractor!" - Shenoa B.

NEW FEATURE THIS MONTH !!!
Dr. Broosan's
Research CornerWhen most people think of posture, they think of how it
makes one look. However, most people
may not know how much of a role posture plays in overall health. Poor posture is a big stressor on the
body that can cause arthritic changes, reduce a person's range of motion, cause
muscular imbalances, headaches, TMJ problems, affect lung function and even
affect emotional vitality. Through chiropractic care, we can break up connective tissue
adhesions (scar tissue) that form as a result of long term poor posture,
restore range of motion and healthy joint mechanics. Furthermore, we can address muscular imbalances and
strengthen the postural muscles through exercise, stretching, and other
methods. Here is a little excerpt from a research article that
investigated posture's role in health: "Posture affects and moderates all human functions, both
consciously and unconsciously, from breathing to hormone production, to
thinking." Lennon et al. Postural and respiratory modulation of
autonomic function, pain, and health.
