A quick, easy and HEALTHY treat every mother will love!
Packed with nutrients this is a winner. Yogurt has calcium, protein and
probiotics (for a healthy digestive system). The berries are high in
antioxidants, vitamins and fiber. Almonds have vitamin E, protein
and help lower cholesterol. Best of all, this tastes delicious.
Mother's
Day Yogurt Parfait (makes 2 servings)
2 cups
Plain Yogurt 1 cup Granola 1 cup Mixed Berries (strawberries, raspberries & blueberries) 1 Banana 1 Tablespoon
Slivered Raw Almonds 1 Teaspoon Maple Syrup or Honey
Cut
the banana into slices. Mash the berries with the maple syrup reserving
10 berries for the top of parfait.
In
each glass: In two tall glasses add 1/2 c yogurt. Add
1/4 c granola. Layer a 1/4 of banana slices.
Layer 1/4 of slivered almonds. Spoon in 1/4 of the berry
mixture into each glass. Repeat. Top with the
remaining berries and enjoy!
