2012 leafy greens  Summer 2012 Hot and Dry!

This has been a pretty good season with all the sunshine but the dryness.....

Now the good stuff...
We're replanted lots of greens for September and October. Sugar Snap Peas will return and we hope for spinach too.
Pumpkins are coming along, doing better than the squashes that gave us the poorest harvest in 3 years. Tomatoes are everywhere and all colors and sizes, if you would like to arrange a bulk purchase for canning we can do that just ask at distribution.

Don't forget the pick your own garden! Loaded with Basil and cherry tomatoes right now.

thoughts!

I was thinking recently after we had that mushy corn issue. Do you realize our produce is guaranteed?

If you ever get something that isn't to your satisfaction please let us know, we'll replace it. This is not an exact science and there are times when the "bad apple" gets in the bunch. Please be our quality control officers and report back. This feedback helps us to fine tune the process to make better produce each year. We want you happy with your CSA and to tell your friends!

I'll go one step further and if you are willing to try new things and find you really didn't like it even if it was fresh just tell one of us and you can replace it with one of your tried and true favorites. We want members to experiment and broaden their vegetable horizon without anxiety.

Pumpkins are looking pretty good and we hope we have one for every member by October.

Out in the pick your own: This year I tried growing wildflowers as i thought the variety would be exciting to see but they just didn't perform like the Cosmos have in the past but you can cut some it you want.

PS, We planted Asparagus and Strawberries too but they take 2 years to produce.

Ever get home and forget what that new vegetable is,
check out our veggie ID chart here.

Thank you to all the membership, we look forward to seeing our returning members and meeting all the new ones.

Enjoy and Eat Well.

Best Wishes,
