Updating our family and friends about the worthy events in our neck of the woods.
We continue our work with the Miramar Military Base as a drop off site for food for Thanksgiving and Food & Toys for Christmas - one can good or one toy makes a difference to these worthy families! - Thanksgiving Military Food Drive - Deadline 11/18th - Christmas Food & Toy Drive - Deadline 12/16th. Poway Families need adopting for Christmas. You can adopt a family (they come in all sizes) or if you want to help but can't commit to take on a whole family - you can also donate gift cards (for groceries or gas) or cash. They are always looking for bikes too. Whatever you can donate is greatly appreciated. Contact Kim Chevallier at KandCDC@aol.com.

Join us December 4, 2011 for the San Diego North Chamber of Commerce's - Carmel Mtn Street Fair. We'll have our Madame Mechanic People's Choice Car Show from 9am - 3pm. Park on Highland Ranch Rd in front of Pat & Oscar's. The attendees of the street fair vote for their favorite and you could win a trophy. Free registration.  Poway Neighborhood Emergency Corps - organized by the Poway Community Association is helping get neighborhoods organized block by block. We are looking for Section Leaders and Block Captains to make sure when an emergency arises you & your neighbors are safe, have up to date information, and help if needed.
