A NOTE OF THANKS...
I'd like to shout from the mountain tops how wonderful Shepherd's Hope has been to me and how blessed we are, in Central Florida, to have this terrific organization for those of us who have medical needs with no insurance. They have taken care of my needs with wonderful doctors and volunteers. Very kind, gracious, welcoming and thorough. God has blessed us with this group of caring professionals and I just cannot say enough great things about the clinics and the administrative offices. So helpful, so caring, so wonderful. God bless them and the way they bless us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

A FOND FAREWELL & A WARM WELCOME
Dr. Allgeier with Shepherd's Hope staff & volunteers wishing him well

We bid a sad but fond farewell to Dr. Joseph Allgeier.  For 13 years as a volunteer physician and for many of those as Shepherd's Hope Medical Director, Dr. Allgeier has left a legacy of caring and dedication. He is relocating to Arizona, and will be missed and fondly remembered.

However, we are blessed to announce our new Shepherd's Hope Medical Director, Dr. Stephen M. Gallas, who worked and trained with Dr. Allgeier and who also currently provides hope and healing as a volunteer physician.

Dr. Steven M. Gallas completed his Family Medicine Residency at Florida Hospital East Orlando in 2010 after graduating from Nova Southeastern University as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.  His undergraduate degree in BioMedical Science is from the University of South Alabama and his Master of Science in Pharmacology was awarded by Tulane University.

Dr. Gallas currently practices Family Medicine at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Debary, FL, and provides urgent care at Florida Hospital Centra Care in Orlando, FL. In a volunteer position, he serves as Preceptor for the Family Medicine Residency in East Orlando.

A physician volunteer with Shepherd's Hope since 2008, Dr. Gallas also has logged extensive volunteer hours across many years providing school physicals at health fairs. His additional interests include sports, movies, and spending time with his wife and two children. Welcome, Dr. Gallas!
