Tennessee's Roan Mountain Rhododendron Festival
June 18 and 19

Pink Rhododendron Taken at Harvard's Arnold Arboretum
Pink Rhododendron Taken at Harvard's Arnold Arboretum, which I visited as part of the International Magnolia Society Meeting

As you know, I am all about flowers. (In fact if you know of a flower festival in another state, let me know, so I research...) I discovered this show in the mountains of Tennessee and am looking forward to attending and photographing the flowers that weekend in Roan Mountain State Park. This show has been happening since 1947. Click here to read all about it.

As a side note, I just attended the International Magnolia Society's annual meeting in Rhode Island. It was an enjoyable weekend because I met so many other people who are interested in magnolias. Many of the attendees are cultivating new species.

Hydrangea are Blooming in Atlanta

This new image above I took at a friend's garden. Next weekend I will be touring many gardens as part of the American Hydrangea Society, which happens to have their home in Atlanta. After the Virginia Highlands Summerfest, I will release my new hydrangea, but be on the look out for more from this event. I post new photographs to my facebook business page first.
