Neither walking nor standing, an extraordinary expert I know is a spellbinding speaker, who sits on the stage, in a chair.
Being the authority that he is, audiences always have a lot of questions. Respectfully, he asks them to state all their questions before he starts talking. He listens to every question, one after another, before he answers a single one.
With no notes whatsoever, he always answers each question - in perfect order, tailoring all his comments to the level of knowledge and interest of the group.
Imagine how deep his powers of concentration are and how connected to his audience he is to do this.
