Her eyes danced. They twinkled with mischief.
That's what struck me most as I observed legendary real estate mogul Ebby Halliday hold an audience of 50 professionals, mostly men, in rapt attention. She is 98 (!) years old, about four-and-a-half feet tall, loaded with personality. I watched her carefully before, during, and after her talk. She is more vibrant, funny, and articulate than most people 1/3 her age.
Her eyes have "it," filled as they are with that excellent elixir of life, curiosity.
So here's my question for you: When you speak, how filled are you with curiosity about your audience, and do you think it might make a difference if you were as interested in them as you want them to be interested in you?
