Psychologists tell us formal presentations are one of the most feared of tasks. They also tell us informal conversations with friends are among our most beloved activities.
It's interesting, since both are fundamentally speaking. Yet, you and I know: Emotionally, these two forms of communication are at opposite ends of a spectrum. We love talking to friends. We typically loathe presentations.
But how would our lives change if formal presentations were more like informal conversations? In fact, this is exactly what the best speakers do: The best deliver presentations in a way that feels like a conversation.
