Greetings!

You Can't Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought. Especially now. We don't have time for it. There's way too much to do instead.

On the other hand, I'm seeing wigged out and confused clients. That's why on March 17, 2009, at 9:30 AM CST, I'm presenting a complimentary teleconference with one of the smartest experts I know: Rodney Johnson, president of financial research firm HS Dent, as my guest. Rodney has important, practical information and uncommon insight. He's been my client for years, and has graciously agreed to do this call waiving the normally stratospheric fees he commands.

What 5 Things You Will Learn:
  1. What's driving this economy and what you can expect to make smart decisions moving forward
  2. Three things you can do - as an individual - to help the economy heal and create immediate value for yourself
  3. The impact of mortgage cram downs on the economy
  4. What we need to be doing nationally - what you need to be doing personally
  5. The impact of Congressional decisions that will affect you

Date:        Tuesday, March 17, 2009
Time:       10:30 am EST, 9:30 am CST, 8:30 am MST
                and 7:30 am PST
Speaker:  Rodney Johnson, President of HS Dent - HS Dent is an
economic research and forecasting company that provides
Financial Professionals and individuals with the proprietary
economic tools needed to accurately forecast what lies
ahead in our economy. Rodney also serves as the President
of HS Dent Investment Management, an Investment
Advisory firm registered with the SEC. HS Dent's CEO, Harry
                S. Dent, Jr., currently has a New York Times bestseller The
Great Depression Ahead: How to Prosper in the Crash
Following the Greatest Boom in History.
Host:        Alex Ramsey, President of LodeStar Universal

There is no charge for this program. Registration is limited. You may invite colleagues and friends, up to and until registration is filled. In other words, registration alone is not an absolute guarantee that you will have a "seat" at the teleseminar

As soon as you register, you will receive an email with the conference call number and call code. That's how you'll know that "you're in." If you cannot attend, please let us know 24 hours in advance so that, if we have a waiting list, we can give your seat to someone else. You will be able to answer questions. Questions submitted in advance to me at [email protected] are those most likely to be answered first.

LodeStar Universal is determined to do what we can to provide insight and wisdom, especially now when there is so much economic fear. We want to provide you with information that can help you know what steps to take moving forward. This is the first in a series of teleseminars that over the few months LodeStar Universal is offering at no charge with some of the top thinkers we know among our clients and colleagues.

Those registered may receive additional post-program handouts, depending on the speaker's wishes.

About Jay Wommack:
Jay, another client who is quoted at the top of this newsletter, has long been a follower of HS Dent information. Jay, president of Vertical Alliance, says the Dent information helped him build his strategy and become a thought leader in his own industry.

In this Issue

1. You Can't Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought - Registration for complimentary Teleseminar

2. Being Indispensable

3. Pitching for Investment Capital with 10 Slides in 10 Minutes

4. Scorecard

5. What Shakespeare says about risk, timing, and opportunity

2. Being Indispensable - Last month, I wrote about the importance, especially in this economy, of "being indispensable." I'm still hooked on this idea. Why? I talk daily to people who have lost their jobs. I coach people to put their best foot forward in job interviews and as they find new positions. People are taking stock of where they are in life, what they want and need from their professional and personal lives.

Here's my thought for this month on Being Indispensable. Dr. Sherry Buffington in her book, Law of Abundance, says that to create abundance, we have to be responsible, disciplined, and courageous. What a word we hear too little! That pretty much says it all. We all know responsible and disciplined people, who fall short of courageous. Since I read her words, I've been asking myself whether I am living up personally to this bar. At the same time, my gut tells me Dr. Buffington is on the right track in putting Responsibility, Discipline, and Courage together. During this time of intense self-reflection, ask yourself every day, "are you being responsible, disciplined, and courageous?" If so, kudos for you! If not, what is holding you back? If you would like some direction and tools, let's talk.

3. 10 Slides, 10 Minutes - Pitching for Investment Capital, Equity, Debt, or Venture Capital - a 1-hour webinar, May 15th, 2009.  Mark your calendar now.  More information next month.

4. Scorecard: I don't usually take as much stock in participant evaluations but all too often, people are carried away by the moment and then conveniently, and all-too-humanly, they forget to do anything differently. Still, we all enjoy an occasional vote of confidence; as I did in this message from a client after a recent speech I gave:  "I received your survey back from National Association of Purchasing Managers.  They gave you a 96 out of 100! Congratulations and thanks for making us look so good!" --Beth Gale
