Introduction to Advent Class

A new "Introduction to Advent" class begins at Advent Arlington Church on October 11th.

We'll meet weekly on Sunday mornings at 10 am and finish up on November 15th.

This class offers the opportunity to learn more about the Christian faith, church history, Presbyterian beliefs, and Advent Church and her ministries.  It also is a great place to get to know some other church attendees.

At the conclusion of the class, those who are ready may be baptized and/or join the church.  Most classes will be led by our pastors.

There is no need to register.  Just show up at 10 am on Sunday, Oct. 11th.
Don't Come to Advent Arlington this Sunday!

Advent Cordova Church Building
Greetings!

That's right.  I'm asking you not to come to our church at Advent Arlington this Sunday.  No one will be there!

I'm not asking you to skip going to church this week, I'm just reminding you that this Sunday is Advent's annual outdoor service and picnic that will be held at Advent's Cordova campus.

Our three different Advent worship services on two campuses will join together Sunday, October 4th at Advent Cordova (1879 N. Germantown Parkway) for worship at 10 am.  There will be no Sunday School this week.

The Advent Arlington Praise Team will lead worship, our new elders will be ordained and installed, we'll hear testimonies from fellow members, we'll observe the Lord's Supper (this Sunday is also "World Communion Sunday"), and then we will enjoy a hot dog picnic.

So come on out for the worship celebration in Cordova.  Please bring lawn chairs, blankets, and either baked beans, chips, or a dessert to share.

Also, flu shots will be available at the church from 11-1:00.

Hope to see you at Advent Cordova this Sunday at 10 am!

Huddle....just what is it?

Huddle is the Sunday night youth ministry at Advent Presbyterian Church, for 7th to 12th graders. It runs from the end of August thru the first of May, every Sunday night from 4:30 to 7:00 PM.

Huddle is an action packed night, full of fun, music, drama, games, outings, dinner, and scriptural lessons. Each week is a little different, so no one ever knows just what kind of excitement is in store.

The cost is only $5 per person (which goes to help offset our expense of providing the awesome homemade dinners).

Your first Huddle is always free, so come check us out! We'd love to see you there.

Huddle....Discover a place where you will truly belong!

Our Vision
We envision a church of committed disciples who cause God great joy by sharing His love with others as we have seen it in Jesus Christ.
Our Mission

Exalt: Provide an environment in which members and visitors glorify God and celebrate their faith in Jesus Christ as we worship God together.

Equip: Create Biblically literate disciples that witness for Christ, win others to him, and follow Christ as Savior and Lord in their daily lives.

Embrace: Nurture a sincere atmosphere of prayer, care, and sharing as we remain closely united in spirit and encourage one another in the things of God.

Empower: Demonstrate the Gospel as ambassadors of Christ through acts of loving concern, compassion, mission, and service to members, the community, and beyond.

Evangelize: Bring people to faith in Jesus Christ and welcome them into our fellowship.

Excel: To do all we do in excellence so we might glorify God in our efforts.

Our focus is on Worship, Children's Ministries, and Adult Growth Circles
