Next Friday Night from 5:30-9:00 pm

Kids, I hope you are ready for another fun night at Advent Arlington.  Come next week at 5:30 pm and enjoy a craft, dinner, games, music, and a movie with snacks.  Even better, we will have a water slide and water games, weather permitting.

Parent's enjoy your evening out and pick up your children by 9:30 pm.

Cost is $7/child.  Be sure they come in a swimsuit and have a labeled bag with a towel and clean clothes.

And as always, this is open to everyone, not just church members.

We're Making Plans...

Building Plans

Greetings!

Join us following worship this Sunday to learn the latest on possible plans for future facilities at Advent Arlington.
Our deepest desire is to honor God by serving our community and sharing God's love with the people of northeast Shelby County.  We have experienced great growth as a congregation as we have begun to do this and we hope to continue to reach more of Arlington's growing population in the years to come.

While we are overjoyed by the changes we have seen in people's lives and the formation of friendships going on through our church, we are facing constraints in our facilities and only expect this to grow in the future.  Because of this we have looked at numerous building options for accommodating our ministries.

We have developed a long-range plan outlining possible development of our church property on Chester Street.  We are having an informational meeting following worship this Sunday concerning these plans.  Your feedback is very important to us in this process.  Please consider attending this if you are able.

Rest assured that our desire is that whatever we do as a church will improve our community, our neighborhood, and its families.

In the Service of Christ Jesus,
Pastors Don, Dave, Chris, and Cindy

Theme: Beach Party

Well, the long awaited time has arrived! Huddle is cranking back up this Sunday!

For our kick-off we will be having a Dive-In at Club Windward. In addition to the swimming, food, tunes, games, and even a piņata, we will be showing a summer recap video of Huddle.

Come celebrate the beginning of our new year, and we'll plan on seeing ya there!

Want to check it out?  Just show up at the  Advent Arlington parking lot between 4:00 and 4:15 each Sunday afternoon and join the "Huddle Shuttle"!  We will return at 7:45 pm in the same parking lot in Arlington.

Huddle....just what is it?

Huddle is the Sunday night youth ministry at Advent Presbyterian Church, for 7th to 12th graders. It runs from the end of August thru the first of May, every Sunday night from 4:30 to 7:00 PM.

Huddle is an action packed night, full of fun, music, drama, games, outings, dinner, and scriptural lessons. Each week is a little different, so no one ever knows just what kind of excitement is in store.

The cost is only $5 per person (which goes to help offset our expense of providing the awesome homemade dinners).

Your first Huddle is always free, so come check us out! We'd love to see you there.

Huddle....Discover a place where you will truly belong!

Just Walk Across the Room 01

Just Walk Across the Room!

September is the month of evangelism for Advent Church.  The focus is on taking small steps toward our friends, family, and neighbors that can lead them to big steps of faith.  Evangelism can be as simple as just walking across the room/yard to strike up a conversation, develop a friendship, or invite someone to an enjoyable event.

Our pastors will preach weekly on the theme and many of our Adult Growth Circles will be meeting weekly to go through the video study.  Many adults are going through this study on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:30 am.

Books of the same name will be available weekly at the church for $10.

Our Vision
We envision a church of committed disciples who cause God great joy by sharing His love with others as we have seen it in Jesus Christ.
Our Mission

Exalt: Provide an environment in which members and visitors glorify God and celebrate their faith in Jesus Christ as we worship God together.

Equip: Create Biblically literate disciples that witness for Christ, win others to him, and follow Christ as Savior and Lord in their daily lives.

Embrace: Nurture a sincere atmosphere of prayer, care, and sharing as we remain closely united in spirit and encourage one another in the things of God.

Empower: Demonstrate the Gospel as ambassadors of Christ through acts of loving concern, compassion, mission, and service to members, the community, and beyond.

Evangelize: Bring people to faith in Jesus Christ and welcome them into our fellowship.

Excel: To do all we do in excellence so we might glorify God in our efforts.

Our focus is on Worship, Children's Ministries, and Adult Growth Circles
