What's Up at Advent Arlington

A Last-Minute Event Reminder

Youth Leadership of Memphis
Youth Leadership of Memphis is a mission program supported by Advent Church where men volunteer to help at-risk teenage boys do yard work on Saturdays each week.

We are still in need of two men to work tomorrow afternoon, Sat., April 4th.  Just show up at Advent Church in Cordova at 11:45 am ready to work.  Find the van and other men in the parking lot.  You will be transported to the mission and return to the church around 4:30 pm.
Easter Lilies
This Sunday you may still order Easter lilies.  Simply tear off the completed form from the bulletin insert along with your money and place it in the offering plate.  Be sure to write that this is for the Arlington campus.

You may take your lily home following Easter worship.

Greetings!

We have a lot going on at Advent at Arlington!  Much has happened in recent weeks, there are several things happening this weekend, and there is much more coming up this month.  This update includes a last-minute reminder of some events.  Next week you will receive another e-letter highlighting our Holy Week events, culminating with our Easter services.  When you receive it, please forward this invitation to friends and neighbors who don't have a church home that they too might experience the significance and joy of this holy season.

Our Vision

Our Mission
We envision a church of committed disciples who cause God great joy by sharing His love with others as we have seen it in Jesus Christ.

Exalt: Provide an environment in which members and visitors glorify God and celebrate their faith in Jesus Christ as we worship God together.

Equip: Create Biblically literate disciples that witness for Christ, win others to him, and follow Christ as Savior and Lord in their daily lives.

Embrace: Nurture a sincere atmosphere of prayer, care, and sharing as we remain closely united in spirit and encourage one another in the things of God.

Empower: Demonstrate the Gospel as ambassadors of Christ through acts of loving concern, compassion, mission, and service to members, the community, and beyond.

Evangelize: Bring people to faith in Jesus Christ and welcome them into our fellowship.

Excel: To do all we do in excellence so we might glorify God in our efforts.

Our focus is on Worship, Children's Ministries, and Adult Small Group Circles
