Yard Signs
Thanks to all who placed Advent Arlington "Ready. Set. Go!" signs in your yards to announce our launch.

If you have not done so, please remove yours now.

Hosts Needed
Do you enjoy meeting new people?  Do you like to eat?

If you answered "Yes" to both these you can help our church.

I am looking for persons/families who are willing to commit to do one of the following once a month:
1) Have new persons or a new family over to your home for a meal.
2) Take new persons or a new family out to lunch or dinner and pick up the tab.

The goal is that as people come to Advent Arlington they are given the opportunity to get to know someone personally and given an invitation to join one of our small groups.  The ultimate goal is that they will come to know God's love in Christ through our friendship and kindness.

I am compiling a list of hosts and will try to match visiting persons/families to similar hosts and the best-fitting small group.

Volunteer Workers Needed
There are several outstanding projects around the church and we are in need of some volunteers to accomplish them.

In particular, we need persons who can help:
- Build a wall and frame a door for the nursery room
- Make benches for our children's Wee Church
- Construct a stage area in the Kid's Kottage
- Paint a few remaining areas/items
- Perform various repairs on doors and windows

Contact Don at 483-7295 if you are able to help.
Greetings!

Well, we've done it!  On Sunday we celebrated the official launch of our new congregation.  Here we go...  Advent Arlington is off the launch pad.  We had a wonderful morning of worship.  The sanctuary was filled with our members, guests, and many first-time visitors -- most of whom have already said that they'll be back!  Praise God!!!

For those of you who visited with us for the first time this past Sunday, we thank you.  Every few weeks or so we send out these announcement emails to keep you in the loop with what's up at Advent Arlington Church.  And if you haven't done so yet, you should check out our new web-site at www.adventarlington.com.

I want to thank everyone who has worked so hard to form our new church site and those of you who worked so hard Sunday morning.  Your smiles Sunday morning reflected the great attitude you have all displayed for the past several months of preparation.

Let's be ready to welcome more people this Sunday and begin the 40 Days of Love spiritual growth campaign.  This series has great potential for improving your life and your relationships.  It will be both challenging and rewarding.

See you Sunday.

Sincerely,

Pastor Don Kerns

Parents Night Out childrenParent's Night Out
Coming on March 6th
Parents, relief is on the way!  Advent Arlington will host another Parent's Night Out on Friday, March 6th from 5:30-9:00 pm.  The idea is simple: drop your children off at the church and enjoy an evening to yourself.  Meanwhile you can rest assured that your kids will have a great time in a safe, wholesome environment.

Dinner is provided for the children.  They will play games, do a craft, and watch a movie.

You may drop off and pick up your children at any time between 5:30 and 9:00 pm.

Cost is $5 per child with a maximum of $10 per family.

This is a service to parents in our community as well as those in our congregation.  So please pass it on.  Feel free to invite the parents you know to take advantage of this ministry.

(And yes, we need volunteers still!  Call Kelly Henson at 598-8774 if you can help.)
