Basketball Homecoming January 21st

Greetings!

Hello again from Grayson!  Students have just finished up their final exams and have returned home for the holidays after a busy semester. As I type this, Grayson is under a beautiful blanket of snow, and it is really starting to feel like Christmas is just around the corner.

There are a number of upcoming opportunites to share with you, and some exciting news that we've packed into this edition of the E-letter. Also included is an important survey that we hope you'll complete. Please take a moment to read about all that's happening at KCU, and feel free to forward this E-letter to a KCU friend who might not be on our mailing list.

For the immediate future, we hope you'll consider joining us Friday, January b-ball homecoming21st for our annual Basketball Homecoming as we host the men's & women's teams from Johnson Bible College. During halftime of the men's game members of the Knights' 1991 National Championship team will join us for a special recognition marking the 20 year anniversary of their championship season. The Basketball Homecoming is a longstanding tradition at KCU, and a good chance to catch up with many of your alumni friends. Immediately following the game, we'll have an Alumni reception with pizza & fixins' provided by our friends at Giovanni's.

Great things are happening at KCU. I sincerely hope you'll stay in touch with us and stay connected to this important heritage we all share!

Homecoming 2010 Memories

H-coming 2010 smallWhat a great weekend! Many alumni and friends of KCU came together on October 8-9 for a time of fellowship, celebration, and reconnecting with this place that means so much to so many. There was a little something for everyone: Pete Kunkle's tremendous message, Audio Adrenaline concert and worship experience, a great tribute to Dr. Lester Pifer, the traditional Homecoming bonfire, the first ever KnightRider motorcycle ride, and an exciting tailgate party and football game. Not to mention some terrific music from the Pastor's Three (Matt Archibald, Tom Alexander and Mark Barbee).

But most importantly, it was about one another. The connections that were made both old and new made it a terrific weekend. If you were here, we hope you are glad you came. If you couldn't join us this year, it would be great to have you join us October 14-15, 2011. In the meantime, join us over at KCU Knightline (KCU's Alumni-only website) and check out the great photos. You're sure to see some familiar faces!

The KCU School of Business has been blessed to be able to host the NIS Business and Sport Leadership Conference on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011.  This event will feature both main sessions and breakout workshops addressing improving organizational culture, being a leader worth following, and building the best team possible, among many more.

Fall Homecoming was a great time for many to come back, with an opportunity to both rekindle the memories and reconnect with old friends. Why not circle Oct. 14-15 on your calendar and join us in 2011? We want you to be proud of your alma mater, and feel confident that once you get to know us 'all over again,' you'll be impressed with all that is going on here in the foothills. I am very proud of the students we're molding and shaping, and I think you will be too.

This is a critical time in our history, and our Alumni family is more important than ever. We need your support, both financially and through constant and fervent prayer. And we need you to send us young men and women as God raises us the next generation of Christian leaders.

Please keep in touch. Take a minute to join Knightline, and let us know what's going on in your world.
