Dear ,

Dr. Metcalf

One of the highlights of the recent activity surrounding my appointment as President of our alma mater has been the overwhelming response of alumni from various eras.  As I have read the flood of notes, one thing has become exceedingly clear: we have an alumni base that is passionate about KCU and wants to stay connected!

Under the leadership of Larry Marshall ('89), our Alumni Office is developing tremendously and we are improving in our ability to create opportunities for you to stay connected.  I would like to address a couple of opportunities through which this connection can occur.

One of the terrific new initiatives on campus is the introduction of a Fall homecoming.  Mark your calendars for October 9-10 and plan to join us for a fantastic weekend of events, including guest speaker and alumnus Paul Williams, worship led by special guest KCU Alums, the annual Alumni Banquet, seminars and networking opportunities with alumni in your field of study from all eras, and some exciting Homecoming traditions to make the weekend memorable. We'll cap the weekend off with our KCU Football Knights taking on the Tigers of Georgetown College.  You can find more information by keeping an eye on the KCU Alumni page.

Another way you can connect is in helping insure that excellent Christian educators are aware of faculty openings on campus.  We are currently seeking outstanding Christian faculty members for our Schools of Education and Business. As individuals who "know us best," you are in a unique position to assist KCU by helping us identify individuals who would enthusiastically support the mission, vision, and cause of Kentucky Christian University.  Please take a moment to review the positions open on campus and encourage those who might be good candidates to complete an application.

I again want to take the opportunity to express to you--alumni who "know us best"--just how excited I am to partner with you in working to change the world in the name of Christ through the educational ministry of KCU.

Sincerely,
Jeff
