Kentucky Christian University
Special Announcement |
A Personal Note to Alumni from President-Elect Metcalf
Dear KCU alumni,
I am extremely honored to have been selected as the fifth president in the 90-year history of KCU. In looking toward the future of the University, I realize just how important it is to have a sense of the significance of KCU's rich history and tradition, and count it a privilege to address you as a fellow KCU alum. Snodgrass, Lusby, Dale, Morgan, Dace, Nash, Gemeinhart, Gresham, Young, Keeran, Damron - these and many other men and women have invested their lives in impacting the world for the sake and cause of Christ and it is through their students that their ministries bear the greatest fruit. We must never forget that today's KCU is the result of dedicated men and women who sacrificed deeply in order to establish and maintain a first-rate Christian college in eastern Kentucky. While the University has grown and developed dramatically over the years, I hope that you will find the spirit on campus to be much the same as you remember. There are challenges to be sure, but the mission of KCU remains to educate students for Christian leadership and service in the Church and professions throughout the world. To that end, we invite you to be an active part of our campus community. Under Larry Marshall's leadership, we are trying intentionally to create opportunities for more and better alumni participation and presence on campus. If you haven't been on campus in a while, come by and let us give you a tour. I extend to you my warmest greetings and look forward to serving as President of our University. In Him,
Jeff
