| September 2012

One of the best things about Fall, apart from the crispness of the nights and the colors of the leaves, is the arrival of the season's new clothes in the stores.
I've always loved the textures and rich colors of Fall clothes - the wools and corduroys, cozy sweaters and soft knits, all perfect for layering. And add to that the accessories - paradise! Hats and scarves and gloves and purses in all their glorious shapes and colors - the perfect way to punch up an outfit.
And so that's how I know it's Fall at Crackerjack - we're getting new clothes in!
Ordered in April, it's exciting to finally see the real items made up in the fabrics we ordered, often from a sample in an entirely different color. Sometimes, I couldn't tell you what was ordered until we open the shipment, and even then occasionally something won't look remotely familiar! | Maralyce Ferree Fleece Cape |
But, I must say, this year we did an amazing job of bringing some great pieces into the store! Some are from your favorite designers, like Niche, Basic Threads and Maralyce Ferree, and then there are new lines - Feather, Loco Lindo and Art of Cloth. There are fun new patterns in Erin MacLeod skirts, our go-to snap skirt, and we're expecting a large shipment from Bellingham-made Texture later in the month. | Niche Tunic Jacket in Purple |
And I'll leave the accessories as a tease for next month, but here's a preview!

Each month we feature a different scent. In September we are featuring Fig.
"Velvety and sultry, like Paris in the fall, Fig seduces the senses with top notes of clove bud and cinnamon bark, heart notes of pimento berry, and base notes of tunisian musk and cognac."
Sounds good, doesn't it?
Come in and experiment with our testers to determine if Fig is
