Retiring Old Glory

Members of Venture Crew 477 and Boy Scouts Troops 460 and 444 place an American flag on a fire during a Flag Day flag retirement ceremony conducted by members of American Legion Maynard-Price Post No. 52 and the Scouts on Thursday, June 14th at the fire pit donated for use by Living Faith Fellowship in Pullman. American flags are honorably retired by completely burning it during a ceremony. Any other disposal method is considered flag desecration. The Scouts and Legion members retired more than 75 flags during the event.
