Summer session: Registration in open.
French 101, 102, 103 & Conversation A2, B1 and B2 open to adults and teens (16 years old and up). Kids classes: Smart Steps to French. Workshops on July 14th (Bastille Day) and August 11th (A trip to Africa).
Max. 10 students/class. Stimulus plan for all returning students. Registration fee is complimentary until June 4th.
Mark your calendar: Open House is on Friday, June 4th from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Free language evaluation (writing and oral) for all new students. Register today!

Vernissage at Alliance
| You are cordially invited to attend the presentation of our new photo exhibit by local artist Nicole Toesca, this coming Saturday, May 22nd from 7pm to 8:30 pm at Alliance Francaise. Nicole Toesca is an award winning photographer and published writer whose images grace private and corporate collections in the U.S. and Europe. In 2010, two of her photographs were selected for exhibition at the MOPA (Museum of the Photographic Arts) in San Diego.
A part-time resident of her family's medieval village of Saorge, Nicole enjoys photographing the the energetic street life of Europe.

| French Women who served in the Resistance | Heroines Francaises: A Discussion with Monique Saigal

The Alliance Francaise de San Diego, in collaboration with the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, presents an evening with Monique Saigal, Professor of Romance Languages and Literature at Pomona College in Claremont, California.
Dr. Saigal will discuss her book, Heroines francaises, 1940-1945: Courage, Force et Ingeniosite, a series of portraits of French Women who served in the Resistance. The author will share the ties between the stories of these extraordinary women and her own childhood as a Jewish child hidden in a Catholic family during World War II.
