Judge Jean-Louis Bruguiere
This conference is a great opportunity to take stock of the fight against terrorism and to gain an appreciation of the risks posed by one of the major issues of the 21st century. Judge Bruguière will discuss the evolution and the typology of international terrorist threats as well as the necessity for trans-Atlantic cooperation. Particular attention will be given to the use of modern means of communication by terrorist networks.
This tour is organized by the Delegation Generale de l'Alliance Francaise aux Etats-Unis, in partnership with the Thomas Jefferson School of Law and the University of San Diego Department of Political Science and International Relations.

Sunday, Feb. 7 at 9:30am Lake Hodges North side.
From San Diego: Take I-15 North and exit West Bernardo Drive. Turn left on West Bernardo Dr. and at the first light turn Right and enter the Rancho Bernardo Community Park. Park at the end of the driveway on your right after the Visitor Center. Bike: this is an off-road/ dirt road trail. A mountain bike is recommended. Distance: 7-8 miles. All levels and all ages are welcome.

Thanks to TV5 Monde, the Alliance Francaise de San Diego is proud to broadcast the Wales - France rugby game, on February 26th 2010. This opposition between two of the best teams in Europe is a part of the Six Nations Championship. Having not had a victory since 2007, France is particularly motivated to win this game and this tournament. This promises to be a great rugby time!

Our teacher Dominique George will share her experience as a Project Manager during the Great Flood of 2000 in Mozambique and our member Alberto Lau will talk about rebuilding after an earthquake. Presentation will be held in English. Food, raffle and music.
