Greetings!The election is less than six weeks away. Our efforts to talk with friends, neighbors and our community are showing results: voters are increasingly standing on the side of love and democracy. We've got a ways to go, and we're working hard! There is still time to act. Scroll down for some of the many ways to connect to action and community. We're doing important work together, and it's continually amazing to see all our volunteers in action. Than you. Our work also relies on financial support from members and friends of MUUSJA. Half our budget has to come from you, our supporters. We know many are asking for contributions in this season, but your gift is critical to keeping our UU voice organized, effective and strong.
Plus, we have a challenge grant! New memberships and donations may be matched dollar for dollar by the UU Funding Program, so please join us as a contributor to MUUSJA. Thank you!

 Standing on the Side of Love for Marriage Equality
Statewide Worship Service Sunday, September 30, 6:00-7:30pm
First Universalist Church

Join us for a spirit-filled, joyous and energizing statewide Standing on the Side of Love - MN worship service. Sing! Witness! Celebrate! Encourage! This is our justice seeking faith. A massed choir will perform, plus special guest musicians. We'll hear inspiring stories and helpful messages to carry us through. Everyone welcome! Invite friends of any faith - or no faith. He will discuss the proposed constitutional amendment related to elections and voting. It will be followed by a 30-minute MUUSJA action planning event. A light lunch will be served starting at 1:15.  Racial Equity

2001 Plymouth Ave N, MinneapolisEveryone is invited to HIRE's next coalition meeting! We will hear from city officials and coalition members about steps we can take to shape the equity movement in Minneapolis. We've made progress in our push to have Minneapolis break down silos and ensure that employment equity principles are part of all its work. We'll learn more about equity in building and operating the new regional asset: the new stadium. Be sure to join us at our next meeting and work with us to move Minnesota from worst to first in employment equity. The event is free, registration is urged. Dinner will be served. MUUSJA partners with HIRE MN to advance a bold racial equity movement in Minnesota. Our UU work as allies is changing major institutions such as MnDOT, the Met Council, and with officials in Minneapolis as they begin to implement a racial equity resolution for the City.  Conversations continue to be the key to moving Minnesota to Vote NO: don't limit the freedom to marry! Keep talking, we are moving voters hearts and minds! Get trained so you can confidently and open-heartedly talk with friends, relatives, neighbors, everyone you know! If you know of any congregations in your area - UU or not - looking for a forum presentation on the anti-marriage amendment, contact Juliana for info on the faith forum program.
