MUUSJA Fall Leadership Training
Now What? Using this Moment to Build a Movement
A new President and a new Congress will begin serving the Unidet States in just two months! No matter who wins, change will come. Bring your UU voice and values to this pivotal moment and help create the world we want to see.
We will spend a day with Beth Zemsky, to find out if we dare build a movement around a bold vision for the social change we want!
In this workshop we will explore what it means to shift the political debate, expand what is possible, and strengthen our ability to become more powerful UU partners in a movement for justice.
We will focus on how to shape the nature and direction of social change, instead of reacting to, or running to catch up with it. And we will explore what role MUUSJA can play in order to take advantage of this moment and strengthen UU's ability to contribute to building movement power. Help MUUSJA and your congregation build on new themes of justice: Are progressive people of faith ready to lead and govern, not just protest and critique? How do we organize for the rising wave of change? Who will we work with and where might we be in 5, 10, even 20 years?
MUUSJA can only be as strong as the relationships we have with UU congregations and MUUSJA friends and members. Please join us!! |
