WOW I offered you a remedy to your spring fever last newsletter and you responded by booking up workshops in record time! We are so glad to hear how excited you all are to get into the greenhouse and get planting. If you still haven't signed up check the dates available below.

Well, the heat was turned back on in the retail greenhouse yesterday and the begonia and fushia hanging baskets were planted and hung up. Six other greenhouse have already been filled with the exciting spring 2012 line of plants. While the weather outside is frightful the greenhouse is so very delightful.

CUSTOM PLANTING PROGRAM

In the past few years we have had so many of our customers request custom planting for their urns and containers that we decided to offer it as part of our retail program this year.

If you don't have the time or energy to figure out a design and plant combination that works for your personal garden space then why not make an appointment

with us here at Gemmell's this spring?

Custom Planting appointments begin March 5th

Bring in your own containers or choose from one of ours here at Gemmell's and we will custom grow them for you. If you can't bring in your planters because they are heavy or cast iron we have the perfect fibre 14" urn inserts. Our designers will discuss colour combinations, care and light requirements with you to create the perfect planter.

The Arizona Nursery association has taken matters into their own hands and started a campaign to get people to 'Plant Something'. Though just in the incubation stage, 6 states have followed in their footsteps to date

Get inside and out of the cold this March with our annual Victorian Workshop series.

A fun way to be creative while getting your hands dirty!

Spend the afternoon in our warm greenhouse learning the fundamentals of designing and planting your own gorgeous Victorian Hanging Basket or Container with our resident design guru Liz Gemmell.

We'll take care of your creation here at the greenhouse until May

Great fun afternoon out with friends! Book early for groups!

Workshop includes: the lecture, a detailed hand out for you to take home, our growing medium and 9 plants for a 12" basket/container

$35/session per planting (please note container not included)

Hanging Baskets/Urn inserts can be purchased starting at $5.99

Several different styles of hanging baskets,window boxes and containers are available or feel free to bring our own 12" pot or basket.
